Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie might be the only Republican candidate who isn’t afraid to criticize Donald Trump — but on today’s episode of The View, Sunny Hostin reminded him that he once supported the controversial ex-president.

The politician stuck around the Hot Topics table for several segments, where Joy Behar asked who he would vote for if the 2024 election came down to a rematch between Trump and President Joe Biden.

“I am anxious to see who a third choice might be if it turns out to be Trump and Biden,” Christie said, to which Behar scoffed, “Oh, forget it!”

According to Christie, he “wouldn’t vote for either of them” — a move Behar called a “cop-out,” while Hostin wondered if he’d be giving away his right to vote.

“No, I would vote for everybody down the ticket,” he clarified. “But I’m not gonna vote for — look, that’s a choice between someone who I don’t believe is capable anymore of the presidency, which is Joe Biden.”

However, Hostin quickly made sure to mention that he was once supportive of Trump, too.

“You believed that Trump was capable at one point,” she said, to which he fired back, “OK, so I admitted I was wrong. Is that OK?”

During his appearance on The View, Christie — who said he entered the race to “speak the truth” — was not only critical of the former president, but also of his fellow running-mates, who have failed to call out Trump in the same manner he has.

“Think about if [Ron] DeSantis, if Tim Scott, if Mike Pence, if all of us had said right at the beginning — instead of all of them raising their hand to say they’d support a convicted felon, what if none of them did? And what if all of us were going after Trump?” he asked. “I absolutely believe that the situation would be different right now. But none of them have the guts to do it.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
