If you’re Hugh Jackman, how do you celebrate Christmas? By running naked through the hills of Canada, brandishing your metal claws, and howling at the moon? Maybe taking in — or starring in — a Broadway show? Or how about getting a warning from a Rockefeller Center security guard?
Turns out — and this will be a huge shocker, given the headline of this article — the latter is exactly what happened to the Greatest Showman star on Christmas morning in New York. Said Jackman via Instagram:
“I highly recommend getting up really early on Christmas morning and taking a walk to see the Rockefeller Christmas tree,” said Jackman. “It’s so beautiful and not crowded at all. I did get in trouble for going beyond the barrier but the security guard was nice and let me go with just a warning.”
Sadly for celeb gawkers, this light warning and very earnest endorsement of a total tourist trap is a far cry from “Divorced Hugh Jackman on X-Mas Rampage Through NYC.” And in fact, Jackman has reportedly been having a lovely holiday season in New York, mostly spending time with his Deadpool 3 co-star Ryan Reynolds (Green Lantern), and the latter’s wife Blake Lively (Green Lantern).
So you might say he’s been pretty “up” since his divorce this past September, and sticking relatively close to home, rather than being……………………………..Faraway, down.
