Drew Barrymore‘s vivacious personality is a stark contrast to the often curmudgeonly Hugh Grant. But on this morning’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the host was able to crack the actor’s stoic facade and get him to reveal an odd recurring dream he used to have involving the late Queen Elizabeth II and a toilet.

While interviewing the cast of Wonka, Barrymore asked her Music and Lyrics co-star — who she endearingly dubbed “Hubert” and “Hugh-mpa Loompa” throughout the sit-down — if he has had any “weird dreams” lately.

“My recurring nightmare is — well, used to be — that I was really good friends with the Queen and we used to just listen to records together,” Grant said. “But always I ended up, for some reason, on the loo in the middle of a big room with the Queen. There was no screen or door or anything like that.”

Grant, who plays an Oompa Loompa in the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory prequel film, then wondered what his recurring dream could possibly mean.

“I don’t know, but we have a conscious, a subconscious and an unconscious and it is a layered cake. So that’s somewhere in there,” Barrymore explained, to which Grant begrudgingly sighed, “Yes.”

When it was Timothée Chalamet‘s turn to dish on his dreams, the actor failed to live up to Grant’s royal nightmare, telling Barrymore he had a “strange alien dream the other night,” which was “rare” for him.

And just when we thought we might get some inside scoop on his budding romance with Kylie Jenner after Barrymore said she was going to ask a “very, very deep, spicy, put-you-in-an-uncomfortable-position question,” they simply ended up bonding over their love of mac-and-cheese.

“I love macaroni and cheese. One day I’m gonna explode,” Chalamet said. “My diet is — my diet’s gotten better. I would say in the last year-and-a-half, two years, I’ve started to eat much better.”
