Confidential Informant

This police thriller stars Nick Stahl and Dominic Purcell as two plainclothes police offers in the NYPD, circa 1995. Purcell plays Offer Moran, and he has stomach cancer, which means he’s a man willing to do anything, given the fact that he might die soon anyway. So he hatches a scheme to get killed in the line of duty so that at least his wife (Kate Bosworth) can receive a payout from the NYPD after his death. Mel Gibson assumes the role of police lieutenant, a.k.a. the t”high profile former action star who makes an appearance for five minutes but headlines the film.”

Knights of the Zodiac

Based on the Japanese manga Saint Seiya by Masami Kurumada, Knights of the Zodiac stars Mackenyu (who happens to be the son of martial arts legend Sonny Chiba) as Seiya, a street orphan who discovers he has special powers and has to use the to protect a girl who is actually a goddess of war. The film also stars Famke Janssen, Madison Iseman, Diego Tinoco, Mark Dacascos, Nick Stahl, and Sean Bean.
