Beyoncé Gave The Beyhive A Little Something To Be Thankful For With A “First Look” At ‘Renaissance’ During Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Beyoncé fans were given an extra thing to be thankful for on Thanksgiving morning (Nov. 23): an appearance from Queen Bey herself during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!

According to Entertainment Weekly, viewers received holiday well wishes from the pop idol in a pre-recorded video, prior to her teasing a new trailer for her upcoming concert film, Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.

“Hey, it’s Beyoncé!” she exclaimed in the video. “Wishing you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving. I’m so honored to share with you the first look at the new Renaissance film trailer.”

The teaser, set to her 2022 single “Summer Renaissance,” featured Beyoncé saying, “We are creating our own world, this is my reward. No one can take that away from me,” per TODAY.

The film highlights her most recent international “Renaissance Tour” — named after her most recent album that dropped in July 2022 — which ran from May 10 through Oct. 1. Beyoncé released the official trailer on Oct. 2 on Instagram, when tickets became available on Fandango.

The “Halo” singer’s new film is just one of her various film projects, which include Homecoming: A Film By Beyoncé (2019) , Lemonade (2016), and Beyoncé: Life is But a Dream (2013).

Beyoncé attended the premiere of Taylor Swift‘s recent record-breaking Eras Tour concert doc, which made its way to theaters on Oct. 13 and has since grossed over $246.3 million worldwide per IMDb. Swift praised her on Instagram, sharing that she’s “so glad [she’ll] never know what [her] life would’ve been like without @beyonce‘s influence.”

“The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms,” she added. “Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility. She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale. 😇🙏🥹”

Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé hits theaters on Friday, Dec. 1.
