Jonathan Majors is beginning his apology tour with his first televised interview, which is set to air on ABC less than one month after he was found guilty of reckless assault and harassment.

The actor initially faced four charges of assault, aggravated harassment and harassment after he was arrested in March 2023 for an alleged domestic violence incident involving his then-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

After a two-week trial in December 2023, in which damning audio recordings and text messages were presented to the jury, he was found guilty of reckless assault and harassment, while he was acquitted on charges of intentional assault and aggravated harassment. He now faces up to a year in prison.

Following his guilty verdict, Majors was fired from his role as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which, like ABC, is owned by Disney. After his March 2023 arrest, he was also dropped by his talent agency, 360 Entertainment, and public relations manager, The Lede Company, and fired from his role in The Man in My Basement, as well as an ad campaign for the Texas Rangers MLB team. He was also disinvited from the Met Gala, per Deadline.
