Christmas is a time for feel-good comedies and for young and old to spend time together. Paramount+ is the perfect destination for all kinds of holiday movies for the whole family.

Whether you want a good redemption story where the Scrooge-y, Grinch-y type finally starts to give in to the joys of Christmas (see: Bad Santa and 12 Dates of Christmas) or a romance filled with seasonal decor and loads of charm (Christmas In Scotland, I want to live in you!), you’ll find something great.

And if you happen to have Paramount+ with Showtime, you have to check out the memorable and hilarious holiday special Matt Rogers: Have You Heard of Christmas? which will keep you laughing and singing for twelve days of Christmas.

  1. Bad Santa

Bad Santa is, as the name suggests, about a Santa with less-than-pure intentions. Billy Bob Thornton stars as Willie T. Stokes, a man who pairs up with his pal Marcus (Tony Cox) to pose as a fake mall Santa and one of his elves in order to scam people. Vulgar and crude, Willie eventually befriends a young boy and goes through some changes that help him, you guessed it, discover the true meaning of Christmas (imagine It’s A Wonderful Life but with way more sex and getting kicked in the junk).

  2. Twas The Night Before Spongemas

Twas the Night Before Spongemas is a very special episode of SpongeBob SquarePants that originally aired on Nickelodeon in 2022. It’s essentially a clip show of some beloved SpongeBob moments with a holiday theme, but it’s sure to make your day merry and bright.

  3. 12 Dates of Christmas

12 Dates of Christmas is a riff on the rom-com time loop in which a bitter woman named Kate (Amy Smart) experiences the same day over and over again (although each subsequent day features a reference to the items mentioned in “The 12 Days of Christmas”), and slowly realizes that the blind date, a man named Miles (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) she was planning to stand up on the first day is actually her true love.

  4. Christmas Cupid

The 2010 holiday rom-com Christmas Cupid is a modern riff on A Christmas Carol, as an ambitious publicist named Sloane (Christina Milian) plans to give up her Christmas plans with friends and family to work over the holiday, in pursuit of a promotion. When her celebrity client (Ashley Benson) chokes to death on her martini olive, her spirit visits Sloane and, along with several other spirits, helps her realize how self-involved she’s become.

  5. Ernest Saves Christmas

This one is for all the ‘80s kids out there. Ernest Saves Christmas stars Jim Varney as the character he made famous with the catchphrase “KnowwhutImean, Vern?”, a dim-witted taxi driver who tries to help Santa find a replacement. It was critically panned but remains a cult favorite thanks to its sweet nature and Varney’s goofiness.

  6. Christmas In Scotland

In the new film Christmas in Scotland, Jill Winternitz stars as Emma, a designer who visits Scotland for Christmas, and while she’s there, she’s roped into helping a small town win a “Best Christmas Village” contest. Dominic Watters plays Alex Glenrothie, a wealthy man who lives in a nearby castle, hates Christmas, and refuses to help with the contest. Until he meets Emma and she melts his heart.

  7. A Vineyard Christmas

    A Vineyard Christmas

Heather (Nikki McKenzi) is the host of a show called Read Between the Vines, and in order to create the perfect Christmas episode, she wants to feature a unique winery from her hometown. Bad news though: the owner of the vineyard, Rudy (Victor Zinck Jr.), lives up to his name: he’s is as stubborn and Grinchy as they come. Despite their differences, guess what? These two decan’t help falling in love at Christmas.

  8. The Christmas Classic

In the brand-new movie The Christmas Classic, Malin Akerman stars as Elizabeth, a big-city gal who returns to her hometown to try and close a real estate deal to buy the local ski resort. Ryan Hansen plays Randy, the owner of the resort who refuses to sell… Unless Elizabeth can beat her sister (Amy Smart) at the Christmas Classic, an annual ski competition.
