Originally released as a CBS TV movie in 1966, this beloved classic 30-minute special was the first onscreen adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ 1957 children’s book of the same name. How the Grinch Stole Christmas! tells the story of a lonely and cynical creature called the Grinch (Boris Karloff), who decides to ruin Christmas for the village of Whoville by dressing up as Santa Claus and stealing their presents on Christmas Eve. You likely know how it all goes down, but it truly never gets old, so be sure to check it out this year on Peacock.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year is a family comedy-drama that first premiered on the Hallmark Channel in 2008. The film revolves around a working single mother named Jennifer Cullen (Brooke Burns), whose Scrooge-like attitude towards the holidays is challenged when her retired police officer uncle, Ralph (Henry Winkler), visits for Christmas with a carefree handsome stranger named Morgan Derby (Warren Christie) in tow. Though Jennifer is initially wary of Morgan, his playful attitude towards life and growing bond with her six-year-old son, Brian (Connor Levins), just might help her to believe in love and the Christmas spirit again.

This 2010 Hallmark Christmas drama offers a moving depiction of human beings’ capacity to rally around and support one another in difficult times. November Christmas follows an 8-year-old girl named Vanessa Marks (Emily Alyn Lind) as she battles cancer with the support of her mother, Beth (Sarah Paulson), and father, Tom (John Corbett). Inspired by young Vanessa’s bravery in the face of her time seemingly running out, the family’s whole small Rhode Island community rallies around her to help her experience special holiday moments early (like Halloween in August and Christmas in November), with extra assistance from neighboring farmer Jess Sanford (Sam Elliott).
