Are you thirsty for more antics from Kevin McCallister? After a trailer for an alleged Home Alone 3 went viral on YouTube, fans of the beloved Christmas franchise began calling for Hollywood to make it happen.

The fake teaser — which was “created by splicing together existing content, adding voiceovers, effects work and heavy editing” — features a grown-up version of Macaulay Culkin as well as other original stars like Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, Catherine O’Hara and Devin Ratray.

The parody, dubbed Home Alone 3: Kevin’s Revenge, takes place decades after the events of Home Alone 2: Lost in New York as Kevin must engage in one “final showdown” against the Wet Bandits, who were recently released from prison.

The trailer starts with an adult Kevin opening his front door to a red bag containing a card with a photo of Harry (Pesci) and Marv (Stern) that reads, “We’re back little buddy.” When he spots an “Oh-Kay Plumbing and Heating” van across the street, a voiceover says, “This holiday season, it’s time to rediscover a classic. Kevin Mcallister is back — except this family is a little weird around Christmas.”

Kevin is then seen telling O’Hara, who played his mom in the original films, “The day you left, I had to defend our house. I was just a kid and you left me home alone,” before later plotting his next set of booby traps for his archnemeses which include “guns, explosives and possibly tarantulas.”

Even Ratray, who played Kevin’s older brother Buzz, makes an appearance as the town cop!

While the creators of the trailer made it very clear in the YouTube caption that their film is not real, fans of the original Home Alone flicks took to the comments section to call for a third installment.

“I haven’t gone to the cinema in a long time, but if they make this parody into a real movie, I’ll grab my money and go to the cinema in an instant. I swear,” one wrote, while another added, “I would looooove it if this was turned into an actual movie. This is so awesome!”

A third person said, “I don’t care if this is only a parody, I totally could see this being an actual movie,” before someone else commented, “Whoever did this parody is a genius, this would’ve been incredible if this ever happen.”

A fourth person noted, “Everyone would go to the theaters for this.”

Another wrote, “This would be amazing if this was an actual movie. These movies are classics, and the actors and actresses that played are so very talented. I hope they truly do make another movie with the original cast.”

In the meantime, you can stream the first two Home Alone movies on Disney+.
