Lionel Messi and Inter Miami Head to Cincinnati: How to Watch for Free

Ever since Lionel Messi joined Major League Soccer’s Inter Miami club back in July, U.S. soccer has gotten a burst of excitement; the Argentine superstar has dominated on the field and has helped sell out stadiums in his first month stateside.

Lately, the only way to watch Messi and Inter Miami has been with an Apple TV+ MLS Season Pass, which is available through the Apple TV app for $14.99 per month, or $49 for the rest of the season. (Apple TV users who are already subscribed can get the MLS Season Pass for $12.99 per month or $39 for the rest of the season.)

Fresh off their Leagues Cup win last Saturday, Miami will be facing off against FC Cincinnati at Cincinnati’s TQL Stadium in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Semifinal tonight (Aug. 23).

Since the US Open Cup is not part of regular season play, fans can watch the game without a subscription to the MLS Season Pass. Here’s where to find it:
