Larsa Pippen struggles to hold back her emotions on tonight’s episode of The Real Housewives of Miami. While lunching with Lisa Hochstein, the reality star becomes choked up as she reflects on the long-lasting effects of her divorce from her ex-husband Scottie Pippen.

The conversation starts as the ladies discuss Lisa’s tumultuous split from Lenny Hochstein, with the former explaining that her new boyfriend is her only support since her ex-husband’s family has since “turned” on her. This is a concept Larsa, who finalized her divorce from Scottie in 2021, knows all too well.

“I feel like the same thing happened to me with my ex. I was best friends with his sister — like, she used to live with us,” she says. “I just miss being able to call her because she’s there with my kids.”

The star — who doesn’t often wear her emotions — explains that she doesn’t want to cry as she wipes a tear away from her eye, prompting Lisa to joke, “No one knows this about you — how sensitive you are.”

According to Larsa, losing Scottie’s family in the split has been “hurtful.”

“I feel like it is hurtful because, for me, my family never was mean to him — like, my ex,” she tells her friend. “And his family was so resentful toward me.”

In her confessional, she adds, “When I went through my divorce, I never in a million years imagined losing my ex’s whole family. I always assumed it would be cordial and we would talk on holidays or birthdays. But that’s not the case. It’s hard. It’s hard to be like, ‘Oh my god. Now this person hates me because I’m not happy with their family member.'”

Larsa was married to the NBA player for nearly two decades before they first split in 2016. While the ex-couple — who share four children — later reconciled, they decided to separate again in 2018, with their divorce finalizing three years later.

As of the last year, Larsa has been dating Marcus Jordan — the son of basketball icon Michael Jordan. The sneaker store owner makes frequent appearances on The Real Housewives of Miami, and even co-hosts the Separation Anxiety podcast with Larsa.

The Real Housewives of Miami airs every Wednesday at 9/8c on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
