Disgraced reality star Tom Sandoval is making his return to Lifetime, just in time for the premiere of Vanderpump Rules Season 11.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Lifetime Movie Network recently announced its upcoming slate of films that will premiere in early 2024, including Sandoval’s Tall, Dark, and Dangerous. The romantic thriller is set to air on Feb. 8, just one week after the VPR Season 11 premiere.
Sandoval starring in a film about romantic betrayal feels strangely apt, considering he spent his 2023 embroiled in a cheating scandal when news broke that he was having an affair with Raquel Leviss, a co-star and mutual friend of his then-girlfriend, Ariana Madix.
Tall, Dark, and Dangerous stars Jamie Bernadette as Alice, a woman who meets her perfect match on a dating app. That is, until she realizes he secretly stole his roommate’s (Sandoval) identity to insert himself into her life.
This is not Sandoval’s first foray into acting. In 2021, he starred in Lifetime films The Wrong Real Estate Agent and Dying for a Baby, as well as the Apple TV horror anthology Scare Us.
His most recent ventures have been in unscripted television, with appearances on The Masked Singer and an emotional run on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, where he appeared to work through the Scandoval drama on camera.
In one episode, Sandoval broke down in tears while being interrogated by ex-Special Forces operatives.
“There are a lot of thoughts going through my mind. I’ve had a hell of a past, like, three months,” he said through tears. “I had an affair with another woman. She’s also on the show. It just was the perfect storm. My publicist had never seen anything like it.”
He continued, “Seeing people I’ve been friends with for well over a decade just turn on me, it was just so exhausting.”
The fallout of Scandoval will surely be at the forefront of VPR Season 11, despite Leviss’ absence, and the fact that Madix and Sandoval reportedly refused to film together.
Vanderpump Rules Season 11 returns to Bravo Jan. 30.
