‘White Lotus’ Fans Split Over Season 3 Casting News As Some Wonder Where The “Hot People” Are, While Others Celebrate The “Parker Posey Renaissance”

The news of White Lotus‘ Season 3 cast appears to have fans divided.

Deadline reports that Leslie Bibb, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Dom Hetrakul and Tayme Thapthimthong are set to star in the highly anticipated new season. Natasha Rothwell will also be reprising the role of her Season 1 character, Belinda, in Mike White‘s smash hit show.

While many White Lotus viewers were stoked to hear that Posey will be staying at the iconic resort this season, others were overwhelmingly disappointed by the current cast. Considering Season 2 featured a star-studded cast including Aubrey Plaza, Jennifer Coolidge, and Michael Imperioli, the Season 3 cast leaves much to be desired so far.

As one fan demanded on X, “WHERE ARE THE HOT PEOPLE?”

However, Deadline reports there are still “several more actor deals” being negotiated at the moment, so there could be more casting news down the line before production begins in February.

Gossip blog Dieuxmoi recently shared a tip claiming Woody Harrelson, Righteous Gemstones star Walton Goggins, and Gen V actor Patrick Schwarzenegger could be booking White Lotus stays of their own. Aimee Lou Wood of Sex Education and The Gilded Age‘s Carrie Coon were also named as possible Season 3 stars.

For now, X (formerly known as Twitter) appears to be throwing a party over Posey’s casting. “Parker we trust in you to carry Jennifer [Coolidge’s] legacy,” one fan wrote, referring to Coolidge’s iconic Tanya character (RIP, queen).

Other fans had their own reservations about Season 3, though. One commented, “Hard to match what Aubrey Plaza’s riveting performance in Season 2,” while another noted, “I think with the notoriety and the budget, there should be a few more big names.”

Though it’s unclear which roles the cast will be playing, Deadline shared in a November report that the Season 3 characters will be a multi-generational bunch that will include “a couple of mothers,” an actress, a yogi, and a patriarch.

The show will begin filming “in and around Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok” in February.

The White Lotus Season 3 is now expected to premiere in 2025 due to the dual SAG and WGA strikes. Seasons 1 and 2 are now streaming on Max.
