Is ‘Memory’ Streaming On Netflix Or HBO Max?

Jessica Chastain and Peter Sarsgaard star in the new drama Memory, which debuted in theaters just before the holidays. Luckily, we have you covered on all the ways you can watch this new flick!

Written and directed by Michel Franco, Memory — which first premiered at the 2023 Venice International Film Festival — follows Sylvia (Chastain), a social worker who forms a budding relationship with Saul (Sarsgaard) after he follows her home from their high school reunion.

So, where can you watch Memory? Is it on Prime Video? What about Netflix?

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming movie:

WHERE TO WATCH MEMORY:

As of now, the only way to watch Memory is to head out to a movie theater. You can find a local showing on Fandango. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait until it becomes available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Vudu, Apple, YouTube and Amazon.

WHEN WILL MEMORY BE STREAMING? WILL MEMORY BE ON PRIME VIDEO?

While a digital release date for Memory has not yet been announced, most movies typically come to digital platforms like Prime Video around 45 days after they’re released in theaters. If Memory follows the same trajectory, we could be watching it from the comfort of our living rooms by early February 2024.

WILL MEMORY BE ON HBO MAX?

No, Memory will not be on Max since it’s not a Warner Bros. movie. The platform — previously known as HBO Max — also no longer does direct-to-streaming releases. Instead, they’ve implemented a 45-day window between the theatrical release and the Max release.

WILL MEMORY BE ON NETFLIX?

No, Memory will not be on Netflix — at least not any time soon. While it’s possible the film may come to the streamer at some point in the future, you’ll just have to head out to a movie theater or wait for it to become available on digital platforms in the meantime.
