It’s never a dull moment in Bachelor Nation! Proposals can happen at any given moment — even mid-live wedding special, as Bachelorette alum and earring aficionado Brayden Bowers reminded us on Thursday night.
As Bachelor Nation will recall, Bachelor in Paradise Season 9 ended with news that Brayden was dating Christina Mandrell, a single mom and early frontrunner on Zach Shallcross’ season of The Bachelor. Per the finale montage, “Brayden is teaching Christina’s daughter how to accessorize.”
Welp, Brayden and Christina attended as each other’s dates to The Golden Wedding, and during an interview with franchise host Jesse Palmer, Brayden got down on one knee and popped the big question himself!
“Christina, from the moment that you picked me up at the airport with your crazy-ass rose and your fake disguise I knew that there was something special and something different and I got to spend time with you and time with Blakely and introduce you to my family and for the first time in my life I feel like I found someone I can be myself with unapologetically,” Brayden said. “I have no doubts that I want to spend the rest of my life with you and like Gerry said we have so little time…and so Christina Mandrell, will you marry me?”
As the crowd cheered, Christina said yes, accepted the “Neil Lane sparkler,” and screamed “put it on me!”
“What? This is why we got our nails done?!” she shrieked. “You’re such a pain in my butt,” Brayden laughed.”
Brayden is also moving to Tennessee to start his life with Christina on Saturday, and Jesse Palmer revealed that he called Gerry and Theresa ahead of time to ask for their blessing. So he wasn’t stealing their spotlight after all! Classy move, Brayden!
