The wedding of the year (or at least the year so far) is upon us, but before Golden Bachelor fiancés Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist got hitched on live television, Bachelor Nation got some A+ commentary from fan-favorite Golden Bachelor alum Kathy “Zip It” Swarts.

In honor of the big day, Kathy served as a “Gold Carpet Correspondent” alongside former Bachelorette Charity Lawson, but as far as Bachelor Nation is concerned, Kathy was the real star of The Golden Wedding.

The 70-year-old retired education consultant had a bit of beef with Gerry’s fiancé Theresa during the season, but viewers still loved her because she consistently delivered the greatest Golden Bachelor zingers.

Kathy always kept it real on the show and was sharp, opinionated, and unapologetically herself at every opportunity — and those skills and contagious personality came in handy on the Gold Carpet, where she interviewed popular Bachelor Nation alum, suggested Golden Wedding drinking game, cracked jokes, and caught up with her friends from the mansion.

The franchise fans may have come to see Gerry and Theresa get hitched, but they stayed seated for the first hour and a half in large part because someone wisely gave Queen Kathy a mic.

Can we get Kathy her own show or at least a more permanent gig in the Bachelor franchise? Thanks!
